The M.O.S. modular optic system of these Glock Centerfire Pistols allows you to easily mount popular optic sights without the need for costly custom machining. This means faster target acquisition, faster target transition and improved accuracy at both short and long range, making these pistols ideal for competitive shooting, target shooting and concealed carry. Polymer grips feature the modular backstrap design, which allows for easily interchanging backstraps, creating a custom grip to fit any hand size. Polymer frame sports Gen5 rough, textured technology to provide a phenomenal grip. Dual-recoil spring assembly lessens recoil and increases the pistol’s durability. Includes a cover plate for when no optic is mounted as well as four plate options to comply with the specifications of most optics.

Modular Back Strap System

The smallest back strap is integrated in the GLOCK MBS frame reducing the trigger distance of the standard size frame by approximately .08 in. The medium back strap adds approximately .08 in. – equaling the size of a standard frame – and the large back strap increases trigger distance by a total of approximately .16 in.

Enlarged Reversible Magazine Catch

The magazine release catch of the Gen4 is reversible and enlarged. The reversible magazine catch allows users to switch the catch to the left or right side of the pistol with no additional parts.

Dual Recoil Spring Assembly

Internally, the original recoil spring has been replaced with a dual recoil spring assembly. The dual recoil spring assembly noticeably reduces the felt recoil while simultaneously increasing the life span of the assembly.

Rough Textured Frame

Additionally, the Gen4 has a new Rough Textured Frame (RTF) surface designed to enhance grip traction and is present on the frame as well as the interchangeable back straps.

Features a modular backstrap system, allowing a shooter to tailor the rough textured grip of the pistol to their hand size for optimal ergonomics.

To make this handgun even more user-friendly, GLOCK introduced a reversible magazine catch on the Gen5
pistols to make it right- or left-hand accessible. To tame the recoil of the 9mm cartridge, GLOCK has introduced a dual recoil spring system that not only makes the GLOCK 17 a softer shooting pistol but also significantly increases the service life of the pistol.

GLOCK's Safe Action System (SAS) is a fully automatic three-point mechanical safety system. Once the trigger is pulled, each point sequentially and independently disengages, and then reengages. Together, these mechanisms greatly guard against misfires without increasing resistance in the trigger pull.

"MOS" stands for Modular Optic System. This is a specialized platform for mounting accessories or optics to the pistol. A relief cut has been milled into the slide and the rear sights have been moved all the way back to allow the shooter to easily mount the most popular reflex sights that are available on the market today. Advantages includes faster target acquisition, speed and longer range accuracy. The pistol is shipped with a complete set of 4- different adapter plates to fit a wide assortment of optics, along with a Torx wrench and proper screws.
